We were out shopping at the craft store recently and came across these bright yellow storage canisters. We couldn’t resist their simple shape and bright hue. Remember our big studio reorganization project back in October? Well, we’re still working on it! These canisters will be perfect for holding teeny tiny craft supplies.
The weather in LA has been alternately gorgeous and gloomy. A run of 7 days of sunshine and blue skies will be punctuated by 2 days of rainy, gray weather. As a result, bright lemon yellow has been on my radar lately. Today is one of those gray days, and while I may be sitting here at the studio with a cup of tea in hand, a quick search on etsy.com for “lemon yellow” has been brightened my day! Here’s some of my finds:
I don’t have the coloring (or the guts!) to pull off wearing clothes in this bold yellow shade, but I’m drawn to yellow accessories as a way to incorporate the color into my wardrobe. Susie often wears a bright yellow plastic necklace, with strand upon strand of beads, that looks so cute and adds a happy punch to her outfit. I could totally go for this fabric necklace by etsy seller polkadotmoon or this vintage purse from beekeepervintage.

I think this lemonade print from dearcolleen is coming home with me! My kitchen needs it!

That little girl’s skirt is precious!
I love all things yellow - in moderation of course. I made the mistake of painting our guest room yellow and now yellow paint will never grace a wall in my house ever again, forever and ever, amen. But I have two bright yellow dining room chairs and I love them!

Freshie - Susie can commiserate with your yellow wall story. She once painted her dining room the brightest most horrific yellow and had to repaint it 2 days later it was so bad!
