Last week, we posted about a party we threw for a friend and in it, mentioned the cocktail we created for it. We think it would be a great cocktail to celebrate Mother’s Day with. Having a brunch to celebrate Mom? This is the perfect thing to serve! It’s simple, elegant and, with the added touch of edible flowers, a bit feminine. It has a wonderful light flavor with just the right hint of floral to it.
Elderflower Cocktail
• 7 ounces dry white wine, chilled
• 1 ounce Elderflower liqueur*, chilled
• 1 edible flower
Put flower in a champagne flute. Add Elderflower liqueur, then white wine and serve.
- Makes 1 cocktail
There are a few different brands of Elderflower liqueur available, we used Thatcher’s, an organic spirit from Michigan that’s made by hand, in small batches.
Here’s to Mom! Let’s pour her a drink!
