Susie is out sick today. We both rarely take sick days, instead preferring to just power through a bout of the sniffles. Unfortunately her sniffles turned worse this time and she’s home getting some much needed rest.
I thought I’d post some of my favorite “Get Well” cards from our collection of vintage greetings. I am continually amazed by how downright cute and silly some of these are.
I love how elaborate some of the inside images are, like this funny bunny one:
The sentiment in this one just cracks me up:
Most of the get well cards we have seem to have animals on them, but these two have different motifs:
The lettering on vintage cards never ceases to amaze me. It’s hard to imagine that it was all done by hand!

Oh I love these! Why do vintage things seem so much more authentically cheerful than modern cards? I feel like the ones they make today are all far too earnest or entirely tongue in cheek. But these are just unabashedly happy!
